Competitive Ad Tracking System (CATS) agives you the full functionality of SM4 plus an easier data entry for competitive ads, and much more powerful reporting. CATS is a software product, not a service. YOU enter your own data and run reports at will

Data Entry is as simple as setting a default Publication and Issue Date and adding all the advertising in an extremely quick and simple manner.

• Pick the Publication/Newsletter/Web Site you are entering data for, from your list of tracked media.
• A list of Companies already in your system pops up (new ones may be added on the fly). Pick the company whose ad you are entering into the selected media.
• Enter the space and the date. Click Save. If you entered the Rate Card (for competitive ads we recommend track dollars for all ads at lowest published rate, including your own) you can track dollars as well as the space.

After you Save, you can pick the next Company advertising in this media. When all the data for this media is entered, click Done and start over for the next media. (You can enter ads in multiple media for each company, if you prefer).

The reporting is much more extensive than the stock SM4 Share of Market Report. You may report based on:

• pages and/or dollars
• sorted by publication or by company
• for any range of dates
• for specific publications only
• for any group of category
• for any group of business

All report configurations may be saved and re used.
